Tel Aviv

4 staysAug 19, 2026

Sleep walking distance from Gan Meir / Rothschild.

Tel Aviv's queer life does not live on one street. There is no Chueca. Gan Meir is the park: the LGBTQ Center on Tchernikhovski, Pride on the lawn, King George on one side. Rothschild and Nahalat Binyamin are the walk south — mixed rooms, not a village of gay bars. Mash Central on Allenby, the last dedicated gay bar, was destroyed in June 2025. Stay on Nahalat Binyamin if you want to leave Mozambique and be in bed in four minutes. Stay on Montefiore if you want a quieter Rothschild street. The Hilton is not in Gan Meir. It sits on Independence Park, next to the gay beach, about twenty-five minutes on foot. HaShalom is the hinge: the airport train, and a walk or light rail into the neighborhood. Florentin is a separate scene. Haoman 17 is a taxi, not a crawl.

Planning the trip

Where is Tel Aviv's gay area?
Gan Meir, around the LGBTQ Center on Tchernikhovski, then King George, Shenkin, Rothschild, and Nahalat Binyamin. There is no single gay village. Hilton Beach is a separate scene in the Old North.
Which neighborhood should I stay in?
Nahalat Binyamin if you want to walk between the mixed rooms and bed. Montefiore if you want a quieter Rothschild street. Independence Park if you want the gay beach. HaShalom if you want the airport train.
Is there a gay hotel in Tel Aviv?
There is no Axel Hotels property. Inta in Jaffa has been called a gay hotel in older press; the hotel's own site does not publish an LGBTQ welcome. The stays in this guide are regular hotels in neighborhoods that work for a queer trip.
