New York

4 staysAug 19, 2026

Sleep walking distance from Hell's Kitchen.

New York's queer nightlife lives in Hell's Kitchen. Ninth and Tenth Avenues from the Forties into the Fifties: Industry, Rise, Flaming Saddles, Hardware. That is where the bars and the 4am walks home are. Stay on Eighth Avenue if you want to leave Industry and be in bed in five minutes. Stay on West 28th if you want the hotel that published a Safe Spaces certification, and a longer walk or subway north to the strip. Chelsea Pines is quieter, on the Chelsea–Village border. Moxy Times Square is the hinge: Penn Station, Port Authority, and a walk west into Hell's Kitchen. Chelsea still has the gyms and the galleries. The West Village still has Stonewall and the Center. Neither is the bar crawl anymore.
