Chelsea Pines is a small inn on West 14th, between Eighth and Ninth, on the Chelsea–Meatpacking border. The garden and the quiet are the point. The LGBT Center and BGSQD are about five minutes south; Stonewall is about ten. Hell's Kitchen is a subway or a long walk north — this is not a bar-crawl base. We have not found a dedicated LGBTQ welcome on the hotel's current site, so this is not marked explicitly welcoming. It is an editorial recommendation for a quieter street and a Village daytime loop. If you need the hotel to say the words, book Moxy Chelsea. If you want Ninth Avenue under the window, book Romer.
